How to Choose

  • Choose pineapples with fresh, firm green leaves and skin that has turned golden yellow overall.

  • A sweet fragrance and heavy weight for its size are good signs.

  • Leaf-pulling is not a reliable ripeness test; instead look for golden color extending up toward the crown.

How to Store

  • Store at room temperature.

  • Storing upside down (crown down) helps redistribute sweetness evenly throughout the fruit.

  • Cut pineapple should be wrapped and refrigerated for 2-3 days.

  • Freezing is also possible.

Shelf life 3-5 days at room temperature (consume promptly once ripe), 2-3 days refrigerated after cutting
