Peach

A quintessential summer fruit with a short but beloved season. Yamanashi Prefecture ranks first nationally, followed by Fukushima. The basin climates of Kofu and Fukushima are ideal for growing high-quality peaches. As they do not keep long after harvest, enjoy them fully during the season

How to Choose

  • Look for uniform pinkish-white coloring and symmetry along the suture line.

  • A sweet fragrance and slight give when gently pressed indicate ripeness.

How to Store

  • Ripen underripe peaches at room temperature.

  • Once ripe, store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator vegetable compartment.

  • Avoid over-chilling as it diminishes sweetness.

Shelf life 2-3 days at room temperature (while ripening), 3-5 days refrigerated (when ripe)

* High ethylene producer — store separately from other produce.
